Thank you to everyone who attended Glow with the Flow! It was a huge success with over 200 participants. Big thanks to our amazing yoga teacher, Josee and DJ John for creating a fun atmosphere for all!
3 for 30 fitness challenge
November 1 to 30
Stay motivated during midterm season with this 3 for 30 fitness challenge! Can you exercise for 30 minutes three days a week for the month of November? Give it a try! Participants can do a group fitness class, a workout session in the Hangar, play a sport during drop-in gym hours, or participate in Intramurals or Register & Play.
Complete the challenge to be entered to win UBCO Heat & Recreation goodies!
Register at the Customer Service desk in the lower lobby. Ask for your ‘sticker of the day’ after each 30 minute session from a customer service staff.
intercultural sport series
November 15 to December 3
Recreation, Indigenous Programs & Services, and the Global Engagement Office, together with SUO Clubs and community partners are teaming up to offer a series of cultural sport events that welcome domestic and international students to participate in and learn about intercultural sports. Students will be able to individually register for as many events as they wish to learn the foundational skills of these sports while having fun with their friends and creating new ones.
Examples of activities include: Traditional Indigenous Games, Indian Classical Dance, Latin Dance, Intro to Muay Thai, Cricket and more!
Cost: $5 per event

R100 Workout CHALLENGE
R100 Workout Challenge begins on September 7 and runs until April 8, 2022.
Start your semester off right with the R100 Workout Challenge. Can you complete 100 workouts over the Academic Year? Are you up for the challenge?
A minimum 30-minute workout or activity is suggested to complete your activity for the day. You can choose to workout in the Hangar, attend a Group Fitness Class, participate on an Intramural team or drop-in to shoot hoops. How you stay active is up to you.
You must check in or scan your membership card at the Customer Service Desk or Hangar Fitness Centre for the workout or activity to be documented on your account. Only one workout or activity will count per day. Participants must have a valid membership to take part in the R100 Workout Challenge.

Intramural sports are a great way to keep active, make some friends, and have some fun while at UBCO. Several different sport and league options are available, ranging from recreational to competitive options. Some leagues have options for individual registration, so even if you haven’t been able to round up a team of your own – no worries.
