Looking for a job in the evenings, for only 4 to 12 hours a week?

  • Set-up and take down of game day equipment.
  • Greeting participants for their games and confirming registration.
  • Reffing intramural sport games
  • Provide general risk management, supervision, and score keeping for intramural leagues.
  • All applicants need to be confident independently reffing sport games.

  • Manage the UBCycles team to offer friendly and safe bike rentals, maintenance and commuter services
  • Maintain a clean, functioning and welcoming environment in the UBCycles shop
  • Perform bike maintenance and bike loans, maintain shop equipment
  • Developing and executing cycle related programming and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain social media presence for UBCycles
  • Develop and enhance on and off campus partnerships

  • Lead movement breaks in classrooms and meetings that encourage all participants to move more.
  • Manage the Get Active 101 Program: weekly education sessions, exercise and individual check ins
  • Support in the promotion, coordination and evaluation of the annual Move UBC campaign
  • Promote, coordinate, lead, and evaluate guided walks on campus
  • Promote, coordinate, and lead guided hikes around Kelowna
  • Respond to questions and engaging participants in relevant and action-focused conversations about student wellbeing.
  • Educate UBC’s diverse range of communities about physical activity and movement-oriented programs and services (includes hosting booths and information sessions across campus).

Ever wanted to know what goes into the production of a sports broadcast? Join our webcast production crew! 

  • Assist with set up and tear down of CanadaWest.tv broadcasts 
  • Shoot and produce live Heat home games in soccer, basketball and volleyball
  • Provide play-by-play and colour commentary of Heat home games
