Looking for a job in the evenings, for only 4 to 10 hours a week?

  • Set-up and take down of game day equipment.
  • Greeting participants for their games and confirming registration.
  • Provide general risk management, supervision, and score keeping for intramural leagues.

  • Frontline representation for all Athletics & Recreation programs and services.
  • Assist customers with membership sales and program registrations.

Do you like bikes, bike maintenance and encouraging green, sustainable transportation?

  • Manage the UBCycles team to offer friendly and safe bike rentals, maintenance and commuter services
  • Maintain a clean, functioning and welcoming environment in the UBCycles shop
  • Perform bike maintenance and bike loans, maintain shop equipment
  • Developing and executing cycle related programming and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain social media presence for UBCycles
  • Develop and enhance on and off campus partnerships

  • Manage the Physical Activity Coaching Program
  • Lead group education sessions with small groups
  • Organize group physical activity sessions with small groups
  • Provide physical activity accountability for participants
  • Preference for 3rd/4th year Human Kinetics student

  • Learn more about bicycles use, assist with bicycle repairs and maintenance.
  • Share your passion for cycling, active transportation, sustainability, and the environment and promote UBCycles to the broader UBC community.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming and inclusive environment in the UBCycles shop
  • Engage with and assisting with coordinating UBCycle workshops and programs
  • Assist program members with enquiries and bike rentals/returns.
  • Fulfill duties assigned by the UBCycles Coordinator.
  • Commit three hours per week to the program.

  • Ensure proper rules and regulations of the event are followed by participants.
  • Assist with marketing and promotions.
  • Ensure the safety of the participants, spectators, and bystanders.

  • Lead movement breaks in classrooms and meetings that encourage all participants to move more and sit less.
  • Support in the promotion, coordination and evaluation of the annual Move UBC campaign
  • Promote, coordinate, lead, and evaluate weekly one hour guided walks.
  • Assist in the promotion of Movement Breaks and the Walking Program. Promote UBC Recreation and Move UBC, as well as other wellbeing events, content, and resources through personal networks and seek opportunities to collaborate with others.
  • Respond to questions and engaging participants in relevant and action-focused conversations about student wellbeing.
  • Educate UBC’s diverse range of communities about physical activity and movement-oriented programs and services (includes hosting booths and information sessions across campus).

Looking for full time work through UBC Okanagan Co-op

  • Assist with developing, implementing, promoting and delivering recreation programming (physical activity, fitness, personal training, intramurals, events, etc)
  • Recreation marketing and promotions including website design, social media management, newsletter creation and delivery, etc
  • Assist with Move UBC month including but not limited to: partner event support, promotions, evaluation
  • Provide support to Customer Service Representatives
  • Management of the Physical Activity Coaching program
