Rock climbing Lessons

Mondays – Oct 25th to Nov 22nd

Wednesdays – Oct 20th to Nov 17th

Thursdays – Oct 21st to Nov 18th

Fridays – Oct 29th to Nov 26th

*no lesson during November Reading Break Nov 8th-12th*

Lessons run from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. The cost is $50 and includes four lessons, rental equipment (harness and shoes), and instruction by certified climbing instructors.

Learn to climb with 4 fun-filled nights at Beyond The Crux Climbing Gym. At the conclusion of this course, you will feel comfortable and confident at the climbing gym and be able to top-rope climb without instruction/supervision.

Thursdays in Kelowna from November 4-December 9th, or

Fridays in Vernon from November 5-December 10

6:45-7:45 pm or 8:00-9:00 pm. 

Learn to play squash with Squash BC Post-Secondary Program! Includes 6 weeks of squash lessons at Global Fitness & Racquet Centre in Kelowna or Rosters Sports Club in Vernon.

Cost = $60 for 6 lessons

Lunch & Lift wellbeing series

Wednesday October 27 & November 24 from 12-1pm ONLINE

Lunch & Lift is a free 2-in-1 interactive wellbeing workshop consisting of a 30-minute fitness class, followed by a 30-minute interactive wellbeing session facilitated by a UBC wellbeing professional. October’s session will be focused on Digital Eye Strain & Visual Ergonomics and November’s session will focus on Mindfulness & Meditation.

Anytime between October 27 – 30!

Choose your distance of 5km, or 10km and choose your starting line, whether it’s on the treadmill or outside! This run can be completed all at once or in multiple parts across the 4 days.

Email results and picture to recreation.okanagan@ubc.ca for a certificate of completion and entry into a prize draw.
