Move UBC

Move UBC is a university-wide annual initiative to increase physical activity and reduce the time students, faculty, staff, and the UBC community spend being inactive. Small changes can add up to big impacts—moving more and breaking up bouts of sedentary behaviour can improve both mental and physical health, impact academic and professional success, and contribute to wellbeing and sustainability in meaningful ways.

Active wear wednesday

Every Wednesday in February!

Wear your Active Wear on Active Wear Wednesday and receive complimentary access to group fitness classes, the Hangar Fitness Centre and open-gym time.

Active Wear Day is an annual initiative with the goal of increasing physical activity in our community. The aim of this initiative is to break down the barrier associated with fitting in exercise in your work or school schedule and bringing exercise clothing in order to encourage exercise before, after, or even during work. Active Wear Day occurs every Wednesday in February.

*Women’s Workout Wednesdays also occur in Term 2 in Studio 2 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Join the Girls Who Lift club and other women (gender queer and trans welcome) in Studio 2 for an inclusive workout space where you can exercise independently with the support of peers. No registration necessary.
