- All applicants need to be confident independently reffing sport games.
- Set-up and take down of game day equipment.
- Greeting participants for their games and confirming registration.
- Reffing intramural sport games
- Provide general risk management, supervision, and score keeping for intramural leagues.

- Assist with set up and tear down of CanadaWest.tv broadcasts
- Shoot and produce live Heat home games in soccer, basketball and volleyball
- Provide play-by-play and colour commentary of Heat home games

Are you an HES student looking to work with varsity teams during game days and practices? Apply to join the Student Trainer team!
- provide first aid and acute injury management to varsity athletes
- maintain a stocked trainer kit and manage inventory throughout the season
- help facilitate warm-ups and cool-downs as needed for games and practices
- keep track and take notes on injuries and rehab exercises using log book
(NOTE: you don’t need to have these skills to apply, just a keen demeanor and positive attitude)
This is a volunteer or practicum role; practicum students must be in their fourth year. Hourly expectations are as follows:
- Team Trainer: 15-20 hours + weekend travel
- Host Trainer & Game Day Host: 6-8 hours/week

Are you an HES student interested in assisting Varsity Athletes with their strength and conditioning? Apply to be a Strength & Conditioning Intern!
- facilitate team workouts in the HPL
- assist with correcting faulty movements during exercise
- assist with spotting during heavy lifts
- ensure safety is maintained during team and individual workouts
- regularly inspect equipment to ensure safe operation
(NOTE: you don’t need to have these skills to apply, just a keen demeanor and positive attitude)
This is a volunteer or practicum role; practicum students must be in their fourth year. Hourly expectations are 6 hours/week
