Angela
What do you teach? Power yoga and All Levels Flow Yoga
What certifications do you have? 200-hr RYT from UBCO with the Yoga Science School, Methodized Training with Oxygen Yoga and Fitness
A fun fact about yourself? Loves being outside as much as she can – be it rock climbing, hiking, paddleboarding, or some other adventure.
Why do you love teaching? “As a Masters student of Social Work, she loves teaching because she is passionate about cultivating wellness in community, and guiding others towards a deeper mind-body connection.
Breanne
What do you teach? Yoga! Typically vinyasa flow or yin 🙂

A Fun Facts about yourself: Bre recently left a 9 year career in the t.v/film industry to go back to school at UBCO to pursue her Masters in Social Work. Health and wellness are where her passions lie (physically, emotionally, mentally). In her spare time she can be found paddleboarding, hiking, snowboarding or scoping out where to get the best treats in town!
Carlos
What do you teach? I teach Salsa and Bachata at the beginner and intermediate levels, helping students connect with their body movement, the music, and their partners.
What certifications do you have? I’ve been running Borealis’ Latin Dance Studio for 3 years in Kelowna, and have over 12 years of training in Colombia, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
A fun fact about yourself? I play several musical instruments and love jam sessions — it’s one of the ways I stay connected to rhythm and creativity.
Why do you love teaching? I love teaching social dance because I believe it’s one of the healthiest activities you can do. It moves your body, challenges your brain, and connects your heart with others through partner communication and shared joy.
Dalia
What do you teach? I currently teach Candlelight Yin here at The Hangar. In the past, I’ve also taught a Beginner Hatha here as well. I also specialize in children’s yoga and chair yoga!
What certifications do you have? I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2019.
A fun fact about yourself? Alongside teaching yoga, I work part-time as a dog trainer, volunteer as a Girl Guide leader, and study full-time as a Statistics major!
Why do you love teaching? I love helping break the stigma that yoga is only for the super flexible or advanced. My goal is to show that yoga is truly for everyone, no matter your experience or mobility. Having my own mobility challenges has taught me that you can still get so much out of any sequence. I want my students to feel comfortable, safe, and proud of what their bodies can do. As long as you’re enjoying the practice, that’s what matters most!

Why do you love teaching? Being able to dance and stay fit at the same time as I help other people do the same just brings me so much joy:)

What certifications do you have? I have my RYT-200 as well as bachelors degrees in kinesiology and education.
A fun fact about yourself? A fun fact about me is that I’m a huge swiftie and I went closing weekend of the eras tour.
Why do you love teaching? I love being a yoga instructor as it allows me to combine my passion for health and wellness with my love for teaching. I love teaching yoga because I enjoy providing a place of stillness in a busy world and a place of connection with self in a world full of connection with everyone else.

Teaching yoga brings deep fulfillment to my life. I love sharing the practice and witnessing students grow, find joy, and connect more deeply with themselves.
Jennifer

When Jennifer isn’t teaching you can find her: camping, hiking, boating or chilling on the nearest beach in the summertime! In the winter you’ll find her snowboarding with her family up at big white or snowshoeing in the trails near their house.
Favorite part about teaching: “What I love most about teaching is being able to be a positive part of someone’s day and watching their health and confidence grow.”

What do you teach? Spin and Strength training (such as Bums & Tums)
What certifications do you have? Joella has her Bachelor’s of Human Kinetics with a major in Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Education, as well as she has her CFES Group Fitness Certificate
A fun fact about yourself? Joella ran a half-marathon in 2023. She’s also a huge biology nerd and loves animals.
Why do you love teaching? “I love providing people with an ‘escape’ from their busy everyday lives, where they can just focus on nurturing their body and jamming out to music.”

A fun fact about yourself? A fun fact about my self is that I teach swimming lessons during the summer!
Why do you love teaching? I love teaching because it brings me joy to see people develop a positive relationship with movement and enjoy staying physically active. It’s rewarding to create an environment where individuals feel motivated, confident, and excited to come to the gym and move!

A fun fact about yourself? Aside from teaching fitness, I work full-time in the mental health and substance use field, and I’m currently doing my master’s degree in Disability Management. Movement is my way of bringing people together and adding a little joy to their day plus I always carry a speaker in my bag just in case a dance party breaks out!
Why do you love teaching? I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to create a positive, welcoming space where people of all backgrounds and fitness levels can feel strong, connected, and empowered. Seeing people leave class smiling is the best part of my day.

What certifications do you have? I am certified as a Group Fitness Instructor, as well as in CPR/AED and First Aid.
A fun fact about yourself? I was born and grew up in the US, but my parents are from Canada and got me dual citizenship when I was a baby.
Why do you love teaching? I love the feeling of helping others achieve their fitness goals and witnessing the true strength of the human body! I also love the community and getting to meet new people all the time.

A fun fact about yourself?
I enjoy cooking in my free time. It’s a great way to relax and be creative. I also occasionally take part in karaoke, just for fun.
Why do you love teaching?
Martial arts have always been a deep passion of mine, inspired by my father, a master and sensei of his own discipline. Through his teachings, he transformed lives and exemplified the true spirit of martial arts. By sharing the knowledge he passed on to me, I am committed to honoring his legacy and continuing his life’s work.

A fun fact about yourself? I am obsessed with dogs, the sunshine, beaches, live music, and dancing like no one is watching! And my guilty pleasure is a good glass of wine and some delicious pizza!
Why do you love teaching? “I am wildly passionate about creating an enjoyable & sustainable wellness practice in life. My goal at every single session is to leave my clients feeling strong, as I believe that is the most empowering feeling, and everyone should experience it.”
