The Hangar Dress Code Policy is in place to promote the health and safety of its users and prolong the life of facility resources. Clothing that covers areas where skin comes in contact with equipment limits the transfer of bacteria and fungus from sweat and bodily fluids, and helps prevent damage to exercise equipment. The Policy is in keeping with emerging best practices and research in the fitness industry and is consistent with similar policies at many other Canadian and U.S. post-secondary institutions.
